BUDA IS BORN
Professional Practice for the first semester have been all about the development and branding of the new BUDA. And it came up to a photo finish organizing the official BUDA launch on a day before the end semester 9th December. Events department organized a FISH & CHIP Party in the studio.
Even though BUDA’s official launch was on the 9th, we managed to organize an event forehand. A free lecture by one of Brighton‘s upcoming sustainable lecturer. Dr Jonathan Chapman. The lecture was a success with most of the 1st and 2nd year turning up, where we managed to have a brief prelude of what BUDA will consist of.
Prior to the official launch, marketing department we given the task to set up a website and social network to get BUDA on the map. I helped in the development of the bright new website www.budabrighton.com and also retrieved the old twitter account: buda_brighton. We decided as a group to keep the old twitter account going as a marketing decision to be able to keep the old followers and not to start from scratch. Similarly for the facebook account which we took control of from the old BUDA. The only taks left to do was the re branding of those social network so that everyone understands the new BUDA.
